• yesterday was good.

  
  

  went to sunday school and church.

  
  

  came home and just relaxed for a while.

  
  

  jim & erica came and picked me up and we went out to the yokums where a bunch of people were meeting to go to the fireworks.  fireworks were good this year, i thought.  they seemed to go a lot longer than normal...the finale wasn't as cool as i remember but overall, v. good.  we had a huge group of people.. i'm not even sure who half of them were but it was fun.  after the fireworks were over, a bunch of people went back to the yokums and they made a fire out in the back and grilled hotdogs.  it was cool. 

  
  

  nathan let me borrow a book.  i read a little bit last nite and i'm excited about it.  Serching for God Knows What by Donald Miller.  i really like Miller's style just from reading Blue Like Jazz..and nathan was telling me that he (Miller) has kind of est. a circle of authors with a similar style so this could lead to even more books on my list of "To Read..."  (i'm currently reading at least 5 books and i have a scroll's worth of books i want to read.  fun times)

  
  

  so i have "family" coming over.  i'm personally not real thrilled.  its more like family of family.  people i don't know and i mean this in the best possible way but--people i have no real desire to get to know.  theres a good chance i won't see them again for another year (or ten) and it just seems pointless.  it'll be a bunch of polite small talk composed of stupid questions like "do you go to school?  what is your major?  do you have a job?  what do you want to do when you graduate?" and then i'll have to come up with crap to ask them so they won't think i'm being rude.  oy.
